The two toolkits below have been developed in conjunction with Fenland District Council.  These toolkits will be useful for Fenland groups to develop their organisations and to help them to submit good quality funding applications.  The toolkits are available to download in pdf format.  To obtain a copy of Abobe pdf reader - click here

This easy to use handbook is the definitive guide to the law as it affects charities, community groups and other voluntary organisations.

 

The Good Trustee Guide (5th Edition) – NCVO

This guide provides information about a trustee’s role and guidance on developing an effective trustee board.  It reflects the many and complex changes in law and best practice in recent years.

 

The Good Guide to Employment: Managing and Developing People in Voluntary & Community Organisations (5th Edition) – NCVO

Employment Law is changing all the time. The fifth edition of this popular guide from NCVO has been updated and completely revised to take in new practice and legislation.  This Good Guide aims to make it as easy as possible to be a good employer in the voluntary sector. It walks readers through the main stages of employment from finding the right person, to salaries and contracts and equal opportunities good practice. The guide will give confidence in the process with checklists to help you apply the principles to your own organisation.
